Origins Bed Runner
I haven’t finished with all the birthdays yet, but I am going to skip a little to Christmas and the gift that Susan and I gave Mum. I’d love to say I made it but alas my only involvement was helping select and provide the fabrics. Mum and Dad’s home is everything that mine is not - it is cool, clean and uncluttered, mine is messy, crowded and well ours. Anyway we decided that Mum needed a bit of colour in the bedroom, but not too much so we chose fabrics from the Origins range by Basic Grey.

Susan made the runner with a simple design of strips and appliqued squares and circles on to give it a little lift.

and a close up

I’m a bit of a fan of Basic Grey and last year I put away a fat quarter bundle of Curio. Last night I popped over to Susan’s and saw that she is up to quilting the quilt she is making for me using that - it looks fantastic and I can’t wait to put it in our room. I’m lucky to have a sister who will stitch for me.

That's really pretty! I love BG too :)
love it!!!
I'm in love with Basic Grey too. So pretty and such restraint. It's everything I am not!
I really love this idea. Would be a great summertime idea for our climate but still gives the idea of a quilt.
