Stitching at the Waters Edge
Yes, I am still here, I don't honestly think I can tell you where the time has gone since I last posted. July went in a flash with all the fun we had at Christmas in July, and now August is nearly half over.
It has been an incredibly busy time recently here at Quilt Fabric Delights and I can't remember the last time we had a whole weekend of not working. That's good because it means things are going well, but it is also tiring. So I am leaving Garry in charge for the weekend and I am going away this weekend for a girls' weekend with my sister. We are heading to Nowra for Jukejema's Stitching at the Waters Edge Retreat hosted by the lovely Kim Goatcher who owns Jukejema Quilt Barn in Nowra. I can't wait, Rosalie Quinlan and Leanne Beasley are teaching. I'm meeting my sister at Sydney Airport Friday lunchtime, along with Natalie Ross (Nat's not teaching), and Rosie and Leanne, then we hop on a bus for the trip to Nowra. Somehow I don't think that will be a quiet trip. Maybe I should pack ear plugs for the driver.
I am not sure that I'll get much stitching done, I think I will be busy looking at all the beautiful samples, taking in the view and maybe just a little talking.
Lovely husband that he is Garry has also organised to take the following week off work with a proviso that I turn the computer off for the week and take a break. So along with some R&R we will be trying to catch up on the million and one jobs that have been ignored around the house, hopefully getting our new attic organised and getting Quilt Fabric Delights back into one room (plus an attic ) and not nearly the whole house.
If you would like to order anything, please order before 10.00 am this Thursday so I can get it out to you before I leave. Otherwise orders will be posted on Monday the 30th August.
So I will to be back full of energy and enthusiasm on the 30th of August, ready to share with you lots of great new products, events and more.... you may have seen a sneak peak of one over here (make sure you are signed up for our newsletter as numbers will be strictly limited for this club).
But before I go, while I have been busy recently so have the Creative Team. They have sent in a number of great tutorials to share with you and all going to plan these should (that would be if I set it up correctly) pop up here while I am gone.
