Blueberry Botanicals Block of the Month

I know there are quite a few of you who have been patiently waiting on Amanda Bergamin’s stunning new Block of the Month Blueberry Botanicals to be ready.  We are almost there, the patterns are ready and I just need to start cutting and packing the fabric, etc.  So I have a bit of an idea how many to cut I have added Blueberry Botanicals to the website with a start date of 30th January 2012, of course if I have the kits packed before then they will go out as soon as they are ready.

You will find Blueberry Botanicals Block of the Month kit here.

If the beautiful blues and browns of Blueberry Crumb Cake are not your thing, just grab a selection of fat quarters, some Cottage Garden threads to match and the pattern by itself and start stitching.

Blueberry Botanical

Amanda from Sea Breeze Quilts has been working away these past few months with a fat quarter bundle of Blueberry Crumb Cake by Blackbird Designs, some beautiful Cottage Garden Threads and paper piecing papers, designing her first Block of the Month - Blueberry Botanical.

The quilt is now all finished and Amanda is working on the last details for the pattern.  Quilt Fabric Delights will be offering Blueberry Botanical as a Block of the Month starting in early 2012.  I thought that you  may like to see it, just incase your loved ones are wondering what to buy you for Christmas, and you could suggest they sign you up.

Blueberry Botanical features machine piecing, paper piecing, stitchery and appliqué (you can use your favourite appliqué method).

As soon as I have a price calculcated I will let you know, but if you don’t want to miss out, please send me an email and let me know that you would like to put your name on the list.

And I think a huge congratulations to Amanda on creating such a stunning first Block of the Month Quilt design.  I can’t wait to see what other designs Amanda creates in 2012.

Thank you & Very Sketchy Daisy Cushion

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has left a comment on my last post.   It is a worry that I talk to myself, but even worse would be if I started to answer myself.   I'll be back next week to tell you who I will be sending a little selection of Cosmo threads too.  It seems there is no fantastic, sure fire way to keep your threads and indeed many of you are like me and have them all over the place with your various projects.

It has been a while since we had a tutorial for you.  I worked the girls so hard during Christmas in July I gave them a bit of a break, or was that me who had a bit of a break?  :)

Amanda has made a stunning cushion.  I love the colours and the pretty embroidery design, I have a thing for natural linen at the moment.

You will find the tutorial over here and if you would like to make your own in the same fabrics Amanda has used you just click on the links in the requirements and you will go directly there.

A big thank you also to Lisa and Melissa for all their wonderful designs as part of the QFD Creative Team.  Lisa and Melissa have decided not to continue as members of the QFD Creative Team due to other commitments, but we hope they will be back for future special projects.  Thank you girls it was a pleasure working with you. I wish you both all the best for the future.
