Great news! Month 1 of Lynette Andersons great new Button of the Month has arrived, so we will be able to get it out earlier to you than the 1st of July.
Lynette and her staff have worked hard and put together very clever packaging for these buttons,. This means that I can reduce the postage charge. I ordered some some special sized padded bags so that I can post the buttons to you safely, they have taken a little longer than I expected to arrive, but did finally arrive today. Over the next few days I will be sending out the first Month's buttons and you will see a charge on your credit card for the difference between your deposit and the cost of the first month's instalment. If you are paying by bank deposit, I will get in touch with you as soon as I can to let you know the new postage cost.
I am sure that you would all rather spend your dollars on fabric and not postage, so bear with me as I set all your payments up.

Lynette has used quite dark, muddy fabrics in her finished quilt, but since I don't usually stock that style I've quickly stitched up the first block (because I had the pattern over the weekend) with slightly brighter threads and I am going to use Hunky Dory fabrics for my quilt. If you don't want to go that bright then I would suggest perhaps Celebration for a soft, pretty look or Blush would be another great option.
You need a total of 12 fat 8ths to complete the quilt. If you would like me to put together a fat eighth bundle and co-ordinating threads for you, just let me know.
We still have a few places left if you would like to join in - My Garden Button of the Month Block of the Month

Just a thought - there are many of you doing this Block of the Month through Quilt Fabric Delights - it would be wonderful for both myself and all the other ladies making this quilt to follow your progress and see the colours and fabrics you choose to use. So I'd love you to leave a comment and let us know your blog address so we can follow your progress.
I'll try and finish my first block and show you what I have done. It is quite different to Lynette's colours but I am really pleased with it.
