Here in Australia Father's Day is fast approaching.  With this in mind Lisa Cox of A Spoonfull of Sugar has put together a wonderful collection of gifts that you could make for your father or the man in your life.

Lisa has used a combination of natural linen and fabrics from the Authentic range to create her projects.

You will find Lisa's first project tutorial here and make sure you visit again each day for the next three days to see the remaining tutorials.

And I have let you know that Lisa's daughter Sarah, has put together the beautiful collage of projects that you see above.  Sarah is only 12 and I am in awe of her graphic design skills.  Congratulations Sarah you are doing an amazing job!

So Fresh Peg Bucket by Lisa Cox of a Spoonful of Sugar

This month Lisa has created a stunning peg bucket using one of the beautiful Prints Charming hand printed panels, hanky linen and gorgeous Del Hi fabrics.

This modern peg bucket will keep your pegs close at hand. With its handy carabiner hook it can easily clip to your clothesline, clothes airer, or belt. Constructed with a drawstring closure and toggle, it will keep your pegs in place when it is stored in the laundry. It also has a handy front pocket to keep your telephone or iPod close at hand while you are busy in the laundry.

The So Fresh Peg Bucket is constructed from white hanky linen and features sashiko stitching, and a Prints Charming Embroidery motif on the exterior. The lining is made from Del Hi Ruby fabric, with a Del Hi Tangerine fabric used for the casing. Structure to the bucket is given with pellon fusible wadding. Your Laundry Room has never looked So Fresh!!

You will find the tutorial here - tutorial only available until 27th July 2010.

Breakfast in Bed

Now breakfast in bed sounds like a fantastic idea to me.  It has been quite crazy around here lately.  In the midst of all the Inspired Stitches preparations my computer decided to have a hissy fit and die.  So I then had to work on my PC laptop, and I can tell you after three years on Mac it was a learning experience, and my patience was sorely tested.

But my lovely Mac is back again with a new hard drive and just like new.  That should be a good thing, which it is, but I have also lost everything I didn't manage to save when it was giving me warning signs.  I did try and ignore those warning signs until after Inspired Stitches but no, it wouldn't play the game.

Moral of the story - backup! and just like you shouldn't ignore the warning signs you body gives you don't ignore the ones our computer gives you either.

So now we are back on track and I can show you the fantastic tutorials the Creative Team have come up with for you this month.

Today we have Breakfast in Bed by Lisa Cox.

Lisa has teamed some white hanky linen up with Amy Butler's Love Bliss Bouquet in Teal, and Rosalie Quinlan's Grandmother Flower Garden also in teal.  A stunning combination.  Of course if these are not your colours just let me know and I can help you select fabrics in an alternative colour way.

You will find the tutorial for Breakfast in Bed here.
