And another Let's Stitch sneak peek

I have to tell you that each time a project arrives in my inbox for Let's Stitch I get so excited and I just want to share them with you all.  But that would spoil the suprise and that's half the fun - the anticipation of what the next project will be.

So because I can't help myself here is one more sneak peek.

I'll be back later, because I think it is high time we had a QFD Creative giveaway.

Butterfly Garden BOM by Leanne's House

Due to popular request we have put together a kit for Leanne Beasley's Butterfly Garden Block of the Month.

Here is a collage to show you the fabrics we have chosen to do the Quilt Fabric Delights' version in.

Here is a photograph of Leanne's original quilt if you haven't already seen it, so that you can see how beautiful the finished quilt it is.

Thank you to my sister Susan for stitching up the sample blocks for me.  I love this quilt  for many reasons, but it is also a great opportunity to use so many of the beautiful fabrics that you love.  We had such fun choosing the fabrics together, especially since it is not often that Susan and I are in the same state, let alone the same room.

If you would like to join this Block of the Month you can find it on our website here.  The first block will be ready for posting on the 1st of September 2010.

Verna - Make Life Beautiful

My sister, Susan, sent down some photographs of the sample of Life Is Beautiful that she is stitching for me. We chose the Verna fabrics along with a few other fabrics in green and pink and added a DMC variegated thread.  It looks stunning.

Although this is a quilt as you go quilt, the instructions also include making it the traditional way and adding wadding and backing when you have finished the quilt top.  Susan used the needleturn method to put on the circles and is making her Life Is Beautiful in to a bed runner and long pillow/cushion.

We have received the Verna fabrics and have listed this as both a full kit and as a Block of the Month. The beauty of this pattern as a Block of the Month is that it is based on fat quarters so we are happy to kit it up in any fabrics you like, just let me know and you can have your own custom Life is Beautiful kit, you might even like to use some of the Cottage Garden threads, or if you would rather use fabrics from your stash you can purchase the pattern and transfers only.  I love it, a truly versatile block of the month.
